Stuck on proofs in my algorithms class — any resources?

CLRS is too dense, my professor's notes are cryptic. I get the code part but when it comes to proving correctness with loop invariants or doing amortized analysis I just freeze.

What worked for you:

  • Specific YouTube playlists?
  • Practice problem sites?
  • Study groups?

Help a fellow CS major out 🙏

Practice writing proofs every single day. Even 20 minutes. It's a skill, not innate talent.

MIT OCW's 6.042 materials saved my proofs grade. Watch the lectures at 1.5x and do every single problem — it clicks eventually.
