Real Analysis is humbling me — advice

Thought I was decent at math until I hit Real Analysis. Epsilon-delta proofs are a different beast.

I spend 3+ hours on each problem set and still get B-'s. For those who survived:

• How did you build intuition for analysis?
• Any textbooks besides Rudin that click better?
• Does it actually get easier after the first course?

The trick is to draw EVERYTHING. Epsilon-delta is just a game — here's a tolerance, find a response. Visualize it.

Understanding Analysis by Abbott is the Rudin alternative everyone recommends and it's worth it. Read it before attempting Rudin.
